Products for use with a Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron 1';?

I just purchased a Sedu hair iron. I just had to cut 6 inches off of my hair because i was using a cheap store brand hair iron and it damaged my hair so bad. I have medium length, medium thickness straight hair. It is now really healthy because of everything I just cut off, but I want to keep it like that. Are there any products that you would recommend to keep my hair healthy, prevent breakage, and protect it from heat? Any other tips for the Sedu hair iron? thank you so much.Products for use with a Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron 1';?
any type of heat protectant spray to put on your hair before you straighten it i use beyond the zone turn up the heat. this helps keep damage away. also make sure you aren't too harsh on the ends of your hair when you are using the flat iron, be gentle and don't leave it on for too long. its better to use more than one stroke of the flat iron than to just leave it on your hair. also since you do flat iron your hair i would seriously consider getting a trim every 5-6 weeks because no matter what your going to get split ends

I'm getting the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1';). Is it any good?

FOR THE PEOPLE WHO OWN (or have owned) THIS STRAIGHTENER. (Your opinion please):

According to Folica, it's one of the bests.

Here's the site: http://www.folica.com/Sedu_Ionic_Cera_t1鈥?/a>

I have wavy, semi-thin, shoulder length, layered hair.

Does it damage hair easily? Does it break easily? Is it easy to use? How long does it take to heat up? How long can my hair stay straightened?

Yeah, sorry, I have alot of questions....I'm getting the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1';). Is it any good?
-No! Use a heat spray

-Nope

-Yes,it's very versatile(curling,flipping,straightening鈥?br>

-Around 45 seconds.

-2-3 days

It's awesome! Better than CHI I can tell ya that.

Got my Sedu a while ago. love it!
the Maxi Glide is better
I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. I did. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.
noooooooooooo!!! ghds are the best they can even straghten afro hair like my friends so they can definetly work on yours xx
Sedu is the best for my hair, have it for 4 yrs, still going strong
1) Yes, Sedu is good.

2) Sedu does not damage hair easily, at lease i did not find it is more damaging than other flat irons i used before.

3) It is light and very easy to use.

4) 20 - 30 seconds, it is fast

5) for me, the hair style lasts until next shampoo.
Sedu works great for my hair. My hairstyles last for days even in humid weather.

Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1';)?

Is the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1';) a good flat iron to use?Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1';)?
oh yeah. go to folica.com and read all the reviews. i got mine there and i got a 2 year warranty 1 from folica 1 from sedu. i have a lot of thick, coarse, long hair and with other straightners it used to take me 2 hours and with the sedu it takes me 25 minutes and it goes up to 410 degrees so even when it rains my hair stays nice and straight :o)Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1';)?
I absolutly love my straitener! It's the Sedu 1inch, too. Let me tell you, it does not lie! My hair is straight with one pass. It stays straight throughout the whole day, too. Even when you wake up. It doesn't leave my hair smelling burnt. And I use it EVERY morning to go to school. Heats up in 25 seconds. Leaves my hair soft and silky. And my hair isn't short and thin. It's right above my breats and my hair is normal to thick. I haven't gotton and split ends because of it. An I got it this September on the 22nd :) I love it! Got it from Folica.com.

Whatever you do, DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT get the CHI. Doesn't have temperature control(Sedu does)so if your hair is thin it'll burn it! Makes your hair dry and stiff. And it smells bad! Breaks easily, too.

So get the Sedu! I promise you'll love it as much as I do!

xoxo

-Blah
Yes its a great iron! Why dont you get the new Sedu Revolution? Its new for this year, and its great!

I agree with the first answer-Chi's are horrible!

DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS : Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron ????

It got good reviews on folica.com but they said it will damage your hair pretty quickly. is this true? i straighten my hair 6 days a week.. whats a better straightener for me?DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS : Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron ????
Actually I just received the new one they released today ! I am looking forward to using it. I have read alot of reviews as well and I think if you buy a cheap flat iron they will damage your hair ...make sure you use heat protection. They make tons of different ones. You will love how soft and silky your hair will be.

Hope this helps ~~

Good Luck !DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS : Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron ????
I have it!

it's simply amazing

and no, it doesn't damage your hair very quickly or at all for that matter (for me anyway) if you use a heat protectant

it makes your hair so shiny and smooth and it doesn't get frizzy in the rain/humidity either. :DD!

Does the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron really work?!?

I've been doing some alot of research on flat irons.

I've narrowed down to the SEDU. I've read ALOT of positive reviews on it on Folica.com or all those just scams. like do they pay people to say that stuff?

and do you have to use anything on your hair before/after ironing it?

or does the sedu do all the work?

I really want to make sure before I spend alot of money on it.Does the Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron really work?!?
Yes. I have it. It is AMAZING. i got it as a christmas gift, and let me tell you, it has been one of the greatest gifts ive ever gotten. I could straighten my hair dry or wet, and whatever. It also makes my hair look shinier after im done! its really worth it. im not sure if i have the tourmaline one, but i know that Sedu is a reliable brand (i got mine from folica.com also) so there would be no difference whether thats the one i have or not. If anything, that should be better than the non-tourmaline one. Hope i helped, Good luck! :D

Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1';) question?

Can you curl, flip, and add volume ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWz-5RAl1ug ) with this flat iron?Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1';) question?
You can do very lose curls, you can flip but don't expect volume. I have a could of professional flat irons and this one makes my hair the flatest. In fact, i blow it straight before i flat iron, and only iron the sections that are not completely straight so i don't flatten out my entire head. It's a great iron, but it will definetly flatten out your hair.

Be prepared for the shipping costs and the ungodly border fees. Freaking border people seem to look at a product and just say ';let's add X amount onto that';.

So have extra money on hand for when it's delivered.

or any other great straightners?Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1 1/2';) VS Ozon Titanium Flat Iron?
i would really recomend the ozon flat iron over the sedu due to the plate materials since the ozon is titanium it is going to have the smoothest surface available on an iron also better stablization at higher temps also it is only 89 bucksSedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1 1/2';) VS Ozon Titanium Flat Iron?
i dont know about the ozon titanium flat iron but i did have the Sedu Pro Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron (1 1/2';) one. and i really do recommend it, its an amazinggggg straightener. i remember people would comment on how soft and silky my hair was. it did really well for baby hairs and didn't damage my hair as much as other straighteners usually do. lmao i cant really compare the two straighteners but i would recommend the sedu pro any day to anyone, its truley the best straightener i've ever used. my friends actually told me mine was better than their chi and chi's are used in hair salons! i bet whichever one you choose will be good though haha(: good luckkkk%26lt;3

Hi, I bought a Sedu ionic off of folica. com in early december, and haven't had any problems with it at all.

I have left it on all day by accident, and it still works like a charm.

I have taken it everywhere with me, i even used it with a plug converter when I went to Europe and Asia.

I would hope that minimal use of your sedu, would not give you any problems.

The money I spent on my flat iron was well worth it.

    I love my sedu =)

I love the flips I can do with it, and the barrell size of curls I can do with my sedu.

Any flat iron can curl hair. Since the Sedu is 1 1/2';, your curls might be a little bigger %26amp; looser. But yes it'll work. I have a 2'; %26amp; 1';. They both work nicely. I think the smaller the flat iron is, the easier to do. The only difference between Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron Hair Straightener (Euro Edition) and Sedu Ionic Ceramic Tourmaline Flat Iron Hair Straightener (UK Edition), for instance, is just the plug.

Which kind would you recommend for relaxed 4b hair? Thanks for any info you have.Ionic, ceramic, tourmaline flat irons?
As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

    In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

=== Flat Iron Hair Straighteners FAQ ======

Q: What size should I choose?

A: For most people, 1';, 1-1/4'; or 1.5'; are all good choices. If you have very thick, coarse, long or ethic hair, bigger size (1.5'; or 2';) will save you some time. If you have thin, fine hair, get a smaller one (1'; or 3/4';).

Q: What temperature should I should on my hair?

A: Based on my expereince, 380F is the average temperature to use. If you hair is thick and coarse, bump it up a bit, if you hair is fine or overprocessed, start it at somewhere 300F, and try it. If the setting does not work well for you, increase a bit until you get a setting that works well for you but does not burn your hair. Trial and error.

After straightening my hair for 5 years...and having to go through a new cheap flat iron each year due to burn-outs..I decided that it ultimately would be cheaper to invest in a good iron that would last me a few years. So I read the reviews and recommendations for the Sedu, and I totally agree with all of them - this iron is by far the BEST I have ever used. My hair stylist even has this ionic-ceramic iron he got from a convention in Europe, supposedly top of the line, and the Sedu is SOOO much better. This thing leaves your hair looking and feeling like silk, no exaggeration. It will save you so much money in the long run - I went from using 5 different products to 2, and I use a lot less of them, too. Plus, I can roll out of bed with a head of wavy hair and have it straight in 3 minutes.

What is the difference between Ceramic & Tourmaline flat irons? Thanks?

Tourmaline plates produce a far greater number of negative ions than do ceramic plates. Negative ions straighten your hair for far longer and give it a silkier, shinier look. So, if you're thinking of buying a flat iron you should only buy a flat iron with plates that have been plated with tourmaline. What is the difference between Ceramic %26amp; Tourmaline flat irons? Thanks?
Tourmaline is a crystal that is ground up into a fine powder and then infused onto the ceramic plates of a flat iron. Tourmaline plates produce a far greater number of negative ions than do ceramic plates. Negative ions straighten your hair for far longer and give it a silkier, shinier look. So, if you're thinking of buying a flat iron you should only buy a flat iron with plates that have been plated with tourmaline.

Ceramic heating elements and are more effective because of their constant heat, with a very fast heat up time (less than 10 seconds). A higher quality plate is the most desirable asset of any flat iron. Better plates straighten the hair easier and cause much less damage. Very hard ceramic coatings that are sprayed in layers and baked on, tend to do the best.

If you're new to flat irons, I'm going to suggest a use a pre-heat spray. It'll say on the bottle ';pre-hair drying,'; or ';pre-straightening,'; or something like that. This will help your hair straighten without damaging your hair. It'll also help your hair to stay styled throughout the day.
